Gilmore Girls Tag

Gilmore Girls is still one of my favorite shows. It still amazes me how witty and quick these characters are. I love the small town atmosphere (complete with their small town celebrations and customs) in direct contrast with a much more wealthy and “civilized” society. I think that it is one of the best scripted shows, and I think it will always have a spot in my heart. It only makes sense that I would do this tag for you today! I saw it on Book Princess Reviews so thank you Sha for putting it on my radar :]

LUKE | a grumpy character

I think I am going to go with the grandma in Hey Kiddo! She was hilarious at some parts with her foul mouth and indifference to many things. Sometimes she made me mad about the things she seemed to always be angry about. But in the end (like Luke) she loved her grandson so very much and would have done anything for him.

LORELAI | a fast-talking character

This was a really tough one for me! The only one I could think of was Madeline from Big Little Lies. She comes off as a fast talker, right? I mean her whole stereotype kind of lends itself to being a fast talker. I don’t know guys, it might be a stretch but I am sticking with it!

RORY | a book dragon (or) fellow book lover

What perfect timing for this! I literally just finished reading The Book Thief and Liesel Meminger fits perfectly into this prompt. Other than Hermione, I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head who loves books more than the book thief herself.

SOOKIE | a character you’d love to have as a best friend

Levi sounds like he would be a lot of fun. I feel like he would be a really great best friend to have. Plus if you are into coffee, he’d probably get it for you for free.

RICHARD | a book you go to for comfort 

Without a question, Harry Potter is that comfort for me. I have read and watched the stories unravel hundreds of times but they just do not get old for me. It is a go to for sure.

EMILY | a long term relationship

I think for this one I am going to go with Evelyn Hugo. I won’t say who else because that would be semi spoiler-y BUT think about that as you remember the part of the book with 7 husbands :]

LANE | a character who plays an instrument

I once thought this would be the hardest prompt to fill and now I am screaming because I can have my pick of characters :] Today I will go with Graham from Daisy Jones and the Six. He was one of my favorite characters for sure. He was loyal and fun, and he (if I am not mistaken) is voiced by Benjamin Bratt in the audio, which uhgg yes please.

MISS PATTY | a book you told all your friends about

I can’t talk about The Hate U Give enough honestly. I recommend it to all my friends and just generally feel as though everyone should read it.

LIZ/TJ | a book that was a mess of emotions

I mean, I feel like Wonder is the safe answer here. It has a heavy subject matter, it involves kids and bullying and I just remember being a glass case of emotions while reading it.

PARIS | an intense reading session + book read

I think the first time I read The Hate U Give, I was in a constant state of stress. I could feel my entire body tensing the entire time but I had to finish. I had to get to the end. I think that tension ultimately aided in my love for this story. It was so raw and honest that you couldn’t ignore it.

*Jess | a book boyfriend that is swoon worthy
